Just to mention, Lala Land 4 also stopped working, and I don't know why. It worked before! So there's something interfering with Game Maker stuff.

Yeah, so am I. Though again, this is new. I haven't had this problem with Game Maker games until just now, and I don't know what could be so different as to cause this kind of a problem. Haven't done anything really dramatic or interesting with my system or drivers or anything, that I'm aware of.

And note, it's not all GM games. I can play Seiklus, and a few other things. Lala Land 4 is the only other one I've noticed (not that I've gone into a lot of detail, exploring this problem) that gives the Jill error.

Is your next game going to be "Jack of the Jungle"?

I had a similar problem with La La Land on my Laptop when it suddenly didn't work. Turned out that it was because I updated my graphics drivers, when I downgraded them the game worked fine again.

Here's specifically what I'm running:

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

I'm running it on a laptop, if that makes any difference.

No, 'Jill Off the Jungle'

A surprising break from the cartoon s+m gothic of the previous game in the Jill Off series, this animal jilling-off simulator is winning the hearts and minds of reviewers and players alike!

Hm. I haven't done that, though. Unless maybe this is a new version of DirectX or something.

I have some offcuts and model sheets and things I'm going to post to my blog soon!

There's not been any fanart so far. I think making a game so good it inspires fanart is something to aim for!

so i announced this in the jill off thread at select button but i havn't gotten a lot of response because the thread was moved to the frontpage where no one reads it. so i'll reannounce it here:

it's time for a mighty screen off.

i'm submitting jill off to an independent games festival and they want a media page. since i don't have access to my desktop this week i figure you folks could probably produce more interesting screenshots of the game than i can. email the screens you find most compelling to collectfruit at gmail and they may make jill off's media page. don't resize screenshots!

I'm amazed they still haven't fixed this. I even suggested an alternative solution! Someone needs to tell Toups.

Are we collecting a list of reviews? Play This Thing gave us 3 out of 5 and called The Gamer's Quarter 'the closest thing the game industry has to a journal of serious critique'!! Nice!

Also Patrick when I search for Mighty Jill Off mine and Daphny's blogs come up in Google before your Eegra review does, BURN You need to pull some outrageous stunts to get more hitz.

Hey wait

yup. i've submitted jill off to the indiecade festival, by the way.

and incidentally, bryan lee o'malley, author of scott pilgrim, likes jill off.

I just wanted to agree with this. Thought you'd like to know that some friends and I found your game, and that I'm a fan, even from what little I've played. I can't get at it for a bit on my own time though, as I am Mac-bound. I guess there's no way around this, right? I lent my pc to a needy friend right when I found Jill-off, and some other games I want to try.

So I finally got round to playing Jill Off! It's a blast, I must say, though I seem to have hit a bit of a snag in the ochre-coloured area, er... sort of a mossy green with a hint of brown to it, I suppose. There's a narrow gap between two spiky overhangs, and try as I might I can't jump between them.

Figuring there might be some secret passageway the Queen set out for me, I hurled myself at spiky ceilings across the way, to no avail. Sad

it's funny, I never thought this game was too hard at any point... most people who've commented on my blog seem to think it is, though.

the one-block wide gap is a trouble spot, and i was debating leaving it out. in the final version of the game, there are only two spots where they aren't flush against the wall, which i thought was a fair compromise. in a future version of the game, i will probably make jill's collision box slimmer, because most of the feedback i've gotten has been about this spot.

People have a problem with that?!

I just lined Jill up with the tile underneath the hole and jumped straight up.

I thought that's what everyone would do.

it's not a glitch, jill's collision box is maybe just a little deceptively wider than it should be. it's just a matter of lining it up right. in a future version i'll make this less difficult or dump that part entirely.

If you look 'mysterious' up in the dictionary, you'll find a large question mark where dessgeega's picture was supposed to be.

Dess, i don't have a wheel on my mouse because it is a trackball. Please tell me that i don't have to flick the scroll wheel back before every shot to simulate pulling back the hammer.

the mouse in the diagram, you will notice, does not have a scrollwheel either.

though that's a good idea.
