Perhaps this is a foolish question, but I'd like to throw the concept out there, to see if anyone would be interested in this.

I discovered this mag today, and just from reading the first two reviews in issue #1, i'm already infatuated--"these are my people," I said to myself.

On a completely unrelated note, I am a big fan of the This Week in Tech podcast. I, myself, am not a rabid podcaster; I listen to but two, although I fully realise their potential and convenience.

Which is why after reading these articles those two thoughts linked in my mind. What was the common thread between TWiT and The Gamer's Quarter? I suppose it was that they were both comprised of people who undoubtedly--and for once--knew what they were talking about. These were people you felt like quoting every other sentence. They were also down-to-earth, not pretentious, and never felt off.

So, where does this rant go? This would almost be too much work and probably would have a niche audience, but I wonder if any of the authors (assuming you all don't have hideous alien-voices) would attempt aural versions of their reviews? I say this because 92 pages, or what have you, in PDF format is daunting. I can read long books--I often do, but those are physical books. And although much has changed and the technology has advanced up until now, I simply have to favor the ergonomics of a paperback novel for long tracts of text.

So I disciplined myself into reading the first two articles without getting the urge to skim (and skim I did, and I was satisfied, and it was good), but I couldn't help but think how pleased I would be to plop a folder of reviews and articles from TGQ in my (brand-spanking-new-as-in-today-holy-crap-why-didn't-i-have-one-before) mp3 player and go about some activity while hearing top notch shiats on interactive entertainment.

I don't know what I'm proposing; not audio versions of issues #1 and #2, really (perhaps too much work, even for individual recording comprising a whole), but maybe I'm expressing my insignificant hope that I can listen to this brilliance.

Otherwise, love the articles, love the mag, and I've already suggested it to at least one person. Thanks fer listenin'!

We have the mp3 of Toups interviewing the Seiklus creator!

It has stimulating background noise of birdschirping and lawnmowers.
It's pleasant.

Well now that Morgan Freeman is done with March of the Penguins we were thinking of grabbing him just for this idea.

No, sorry, seriously though. We did do an interview with Chatter Box radio which you can download on MP3 format (although... we did not know what we were doing really so it is not an excellent ... thing). They have a decent enough show which gets put into mp3 format about 1 week after the show itself is on.

Not quite the same stuff, but an audio video game show nonetheless.

Well you will be happy to know that we are getting issue 2 printed as I type this. When we started printing ... well lets just say that we will be using a different printer next time. We should have had them by now.

This should be a happy medium I hope and with in a good price range for anyone.

If only Orson Wells weren't dead.

Christopher Lee maybe?

That should be mixed into every piece for that laidback suburban atmosphere.

C.J. Dodd from the 90 FOX animated series and the Capcom fighting games.

Scott McNeil was the Wolverine in X-Men: Evolution, and done about 50x as much voice work as the other guy. He's Piccolo on DBZ, Koga on Inuyasha, Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing, and on seperate occasions voiced Destro and Cobra Commander. And Jesus.

I wouldn't mind hearing TGQ as read by Christopher Llyod.

That's his name, right? The Doc fellow.
I saw him on TV today for a few seconds as some crazy gypsy.

Ahh, that kooky television.

Wesley Crusher would actually be a good fit for a lot of the articles. I imagine dhex's being by commander Riker.

Hell. This could be it's own topic. Which Star Trek TNG character does your writing most resesmble?
