There was once a thread on this elsewhere. Does anyone know any really decent utilities for transferring files to an iPod without having to go through the iTunes nonsense?

If you're using Windows, the new WinAmp has iPod support. I think the new Mozilla project, Songbird, does too.

I use Yamipod. It's a bit slow to load and it's crashed on me a couple times, but it's still easy and unobstrusive.

I've used Ephpod back in the day, which worked pretty well. No crashes.

I use ephPod for simple things, but I use anaPod for more of the difficult stuff. It's just hard to manage things visually with ephPod for me.
