Man, just give me a game where you play an actual Medieval Inquisitor. Or a witch-hunter RPG. With Real Moral DecisionsTM.

I had something else, but I'm gonna make the comic redeye posted my answer instead, because I love it that much.

I'd also love a Truly Epic superhero game, where you do Truly Amazing things, like fly around nebulae and punch people with planets. And I'd like for it to be hard. God of War was epic, but in crappy and easy ways.

I'm thinking along the sort of same lines, sediment. I want a game with Awesome Motherfucking Phyics (TM) where the whole point is to pull off fucking totally sick dude moves, like the physics engine is geared towards favouring Fully Wicked Outcomes.

Like punching a truck through the air and then riding it as it skids along the tarmac, sparks flying, into a huge pile of oil drums stacked under a refuelling jumbo. BOOOOOOMMMMM you're flying through the air, Eye of the Tiger kicks in, bits of debris impale your enemies as you land on a huge pile of gangsters, and then duel a huge enforcer guy by kicking cars into him.

My boner rages in the night

Yeah, I was thinking Crackdown.
The physics ain't QUITE that, but still.
Though I'll always be a little disappointed that it didn't live up to the magazine ad where the Agent is on top of a building surveying the wreck of a semi truck with a agent-shaped vertically cylindrical dent in the front of the cab, where it clearly had tried to plow into the Agent but the Agent decided to stand his ground.

I'm also a little disappointed that I can't think of a good answer to the OT. My imagination doesn't quite work that way, when presented with literally unlimited possibilities it gets a bit of option paralysis.

I want something in a really detailed city. And I want it to involve flying.

Psi-Ops review from The Escapist, for those haven't already read it. Time to check ebay.

Imagine a steampunk version of The Wind In The Willows.

okay so remember that girl who HATED HER MOM so much that she posted about stabbing her on myspace and livejournal?
and then she STABBED HER MOTHER and got caught
it would be like that except you wouldnt get caught and levels would totally be posting about your murders

because there are DEFINITELY not enough games where you kill your own mother
sure moms die all the time, but not by your own hand
and it wouldnt be just killing mothers, you could really kill whoever you wanted, as long as you post about it afterwards

Reminds me of Shockwave Rider.

It had special clinics where people would be put through hallucinatory/faked scenerios to act out their neuroses/etc.

A vignette was offered where a girl was put in treatment and during the treatment she stabbed her mother to death.

Except she only thought she did.

It was staged without her knowledge.

Then she got a hug from her mom. The psych staff and her family just "walked on stage" like that scene in Total Recall where the guy's wife and the guy from Recall try to talk the governator into swallowing the pill.

Except this is not what you probably meant, it was just a memory you triggered for me.

You probably meant like a serial murderer simulation with the Web and TV and newspapers in-game chronicling your exploits.

How many people have wished for a game like that?
I know I have.

If it came out the same year as Midieval Inquisitor, they might tie for Game of the Year.

So the game has an AI that analyses the posts and scores them?

So I'm starting to think this dream I had last night would be an awesome game.

Basically it appears to be an adventure/RPG/FPS where you simultaneously deliver pizzas, accomplish puzzles and tasks that make way more sense than Resident Evil, and also have epic FPS bossfights vs zany comboes of shooter elements and classic horror monsters. Like the cybernetic demon monster from the black lagoon, or possible freddy kreuger with a gun and a bloody apron. Aprons were very important armor items.

The big point seemed to be a post-apocalyptic fast food struggle. The apocalypse was apparently horror monsters coming to life!
The leatherface heavy weapons guy I mention in the dream thread was probably a burger joint employee. I couldn't tell which place he was working for, since there were too many bullets going into him for me to tell.

You know, that's not a million miles away from Dead Rising. Substitute 'pizza delivery' for 'photography/journalism', though.

Yeah, thinking about it, you're right.

the dream covered a much larger area than the shopping mall though, and it wasn't just zombies. I guess it'd be sort of like Dead Rising 2: Eclectic Boogaloo.

Soooo it turns out Psi-Ops isn't on the list of backwards compatible games for the 360. Aaaand I don't own an original X-Box! Should I hold onto it and hope that a patch is released for the 360 allowing me to play it, or just return it?

Is that a Ring Raider? Ring Raiders when I was growing up was also a slang term for homosexuals. Ha ha! Pretty Funny.

All right, all right.

OK, I would agree that the line was a little bit trite.

But it's interesting to think of the implications of it.

Possibly it implies a Cartesian Dualism; theoretically, resetting "life" (presumably, your life) would take "you" with it! So, barring something outside the system, like a soul to be reincarnated, resetting life is... well, I guess an impossibility because the reset button resets everything that makes you you.

On the other hand, I guess it could mean "every aspect of your life outside of you yourself". But in that case, bringing it back to the original topic, you should probably get to defining what minigames actually do make up your life as they know, and if they'd make a good console or PC game.

Man I want a zombie stealth game for about six or seven hours and then the two main characters reveal in a cutscene that they had almost forgotten that their grandmother gave them magical superhero costumes for Christmas last year, so they sneak home and put on their outfits and spend the rest of the game drag racing against vampire lords for pinks while psychobilly music plays until all the undead masters no longer have their demonic hot rods and it's fighting time.

I want a game starring a sentai power ranger man that showcases both stunningly realistic graphics and zany, exaggerated DBZesque physics.

I'd like to play a version of Space Invaders where instead of a gun you have a big dong, and you have to fend off oncoming tits by destroying them with your jizz.

I think I saw that in an Onion-style parody somewhere.
