And since what I'm intending is a sort of serialized audio drama thing about young sorcerors in dead end jobs so I'm going to need voice acting people and am putting out the net far and wide before I go the the Newgrounds forums. So anbody interested in doin this with me?

I've got a nice voice, or so I've been told. By one girl once on the internet. The rest is speculation on my part. But I can do Yogi Bear, Top Cat, and Skeleton from Superted.

Also I'm rated 'sexiest' in my peer group on facebook if that swings things at all.

also make sure you have a pop filter for whatever mic you use. pttts pttts puh puh plosives are annoying. and don't listen to soundblaster tards who think their "24 bit" cards mean jack squat in a shitty acoustic environment with a craptacular signal path. fuck those assholes.

and don't worry overly much about recording quality because it's going to be mixed down to mp3 anyway.

and ps fuck skype right in the eye.

What's wrong with Skype? I just got a philips internet phone for skype and it's working great. Ohhh, is that what gamer's quarter used for the podcast? Recording off of skype? I always wondered how that was being done.

yeah skype more like FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU on a human face forever.

uh yeah i had some difficulties with it.

what i did was record my own input with a mono vocal mic on a separate channel from everything else and record both streams at the same time. skype would often lose connections and what was worse was the otherwise really excellent sounding vocal distortions when the stream would drop and you'd get a sort of vocoder "stepping" up or down in pitch.
