This isn't as weird a thread as it looks. I just thought it was worth pointing out, what with Christmas looming and a bunch of interesting stuff hitting DVD about now, that DeepDiscount is offering its regular 20% off sale -- which goes on top of its usually sub-Amazon prices and free shipping. Unless you live in Illinois, which in the grand scheme of things few people do!

You have to enter a code; there are dozens of unique ones out there with the exact same effect.

DVDTALK
USATODAY
NYTIMES
SUPERSALE
PRICESEARCH
YAHOO
ESPN
XM
JIM
DEALNEWS
DD1109

They're pervasive enough that you could probably enter a random string of two to twelve characters and discover one. It's like the Game Genie of holiday shopping.

Weird thing is, this hit at exactly the moment I got a huge royalty check for something I forgot I did over a decade ago. Biggest check I've ever gotten for it. Which isn't to imply that it's enormous; just the perfect size to excuse buying a few Christmas presents.

Note that this sale is only on DVDs and some errata; no CDs or videogames.
