I'm done moving! YEAH!

And my dog's almost totally healed up! YEAH!

And now I need to organize my shit! OH NO!

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a rack that will hold lots of DVDs and games? Now when I say lots, I mean LOTS. I have plenty of room in my basement, but I'm specifically looking for some sort of tallish bookshelf-looking furniture that will hold a lot of Games/DVDs without having to layer them in front of each other. I'm fine with having multiple if needed, but I want something that will hold a whole lot.

I'll put up some pictures of my current setup in a bit and maybe give a better explanation of what I'm looking for, but for now any suggestions would be helpful!

this is good news.

i use this tall, classy wire dvd rack to hold my games. it's super-slim, so it doesn't take up much floor space. i get the impression your collection is a bit larger than mine, though.

Build your own?

Seriously, installing some permanent shelving and painting it to match your decor will be infinitely more satisfying that yet another faux-finished rack from Target or wherever. This is your house now, correct?

OK! Here's my setup.

Here's the upstairs stuff. This probably won't be changing much.

Here's my current rack setup.

Here's a better picture of my current rack.

Here's the shit I need to put in a rack.

Here's a better picture of that shit.

Here's some closets that I can potentially build some sweet ass shelves in.

Here's what I have in them now.

And here's the other set of closets, where I have my accessories.

So yeah! I like some of the ones in the links above, but my girl's pretty against something big and gaudy. I might have to take simplicio's advice and redo the shelving in the closets to make a hidden library.

The better your shelving will hide the sight of your mountains of crap from your wife, the more she'll approve of that shelving choice.

Don't cheap out.

Wes do you own any clothes?

Shelving is going to make those closets largely unusable for anything else, if you want to retain access to the games themselves.

Ha.

Yeah, this is my play room. I have an entire house upstairs with normal people stuff in it. It was a big selling point of the house.

Videogames aren't normal?

I can't display them like other people display their old high school awards and trophies?
