The subject header makes me sad, but making friends makes me happy! Here are some friend codes for some of you fools to put into your DSes.

Superwes: 2749 7577 7068
Sushi D: 4124 1461 8561
Faithless: 0301 6221 6098

Also set up times to trade in this thread! I have Pearl and I'm about 8 hours in so far! I want a Butterfree!

-Wes

I'll add my data as soon as my Dad sends me the game from the states. I got Pearl as well. Wanna fight once I get some levels up? By the way, have you started to move Pokemon from your GBA games yet?

So I'm actually surprised by how much I'm enjoying the atmosphere of this game. There's just so many small touches and details that give the world a real sense of environment, from the just slightly ridiculous explanations in NPC dialogue to the special events that happen everyday - I'm really loving it.

I'm also level 40+ and still haven't gotten my 8th badge yet. I should hurry up.

18 hours in and I'm at that ski lodge place, on my way to the nearby town.

It feels really easy. I've basically done the whole game so far using just my Chimchar, Machop and Bronzor (and their evolutions, obviously), without any real sense of challenge. They're all around level 40 now. I had high hopes for Stunky, but it turned out he didn't learn any Dark moves until level 31, and that was most of the reason why I caught him.

I mean, my "power levelling" playstyle (sticking to a handful of pokes and fighting as many trainers as possible) is obviously going to give me an advantage, but it's a bit crazy that I haven't run into any walls from type-disadvantages. The only trouble I ever have is with high-level Gyarados.

After a LONG LONG absence from these forums, I would like to return and say that I have become a Pokemon Master. I now own 484 pokemon, and can hook up anybody with almost any pokemon they could desire. Let me know what you want/need.

Ryan, which Pokemon would you be if you had to choose one? No irony, sarcasm or existentialist deconstruction of the question
