It is becoming apparent that the 4chan party van may be a valid transportation method for some of the posters.

Which means it is really like 6 hours by car, or so. Fucking greyhound. Still, Pijai, if nobody has our backs on the drive, we can make the ride on the dog a drunken one, or some such.

80% yes. You and Rachel?

It's a special situation for me - my dorms in Nashville (only about 4 hours away!) open on the sixth of January, and so I would be driving up to around there around then anyway! But I'm not sure how much room I'll have left in my car with all my school stuff, and I'm only going one way - up - so I'm not sure that would be of much use to you guys or Toups. I'm not trying to sound prickish or anything - I'd love to drive dudes up, but it just might not be physically or logistically possible!

We could drive in a two car caravan, which is fun conceptually and during breaks for food but probably not so much actually on the interstate.

Not from here.

To end up at Louisville we'd have to go to Chicago, wait several hours and then trek from there to Louisville.

That journey would be 18 hours just to get there. Our railway system is so lousy. You would think a straight shot from here to Louisville would exist?

It's either the Grey or the plane at this point. Almost tempting to go by plane, but you know how fares like to rise at this time of year.

It's a cool offer, but Cleveland is a long ways away from NJ. I don't think it's viable.

it sounds ridiculously awesome and i really want to be there (vision, that sounds like a plan!), but i don't have a car. I'm thinking it could be feasible without a car (buses!), but I'd have to plan it really closely (family christmas until the 29th or later, flying back to LA with my brother on the fourth).

Is there anyone who could totally make a detour up to the middle of wisconsin for some car pool action?

Also! In my imagination, at least 75% of you are like 7 feet tall. I don't know why!

as for instruments, is anyone bringing reverb? I can bring reverb!

We have an international airport. Air travel shouldn't be that tricky.

it shouldn't be tricky, but it can be expensive! When i get back to my dorm I'll see if there's anything cheap around (holiday travel uh oh). I should sell stuff.

If I can figure out how to do it on a bus, I can bring my cheap shitty bass that i have only the slightest idea of how to play and my tiny little amp. Oh yeah, rockin' the house now.

Baron Patsy I would invite you over to my house but I'm pretty sure I would just ruin your life.

Let's play a game over the internet, though. And we can try using Skype, so I can beat you at video games while talking of the relative strengths of Rush over Dragonforce, and vice-versa.

Dalenixon you are trying to make me seem gayer than I am. But this is okay because there is nothing wrong with gayness or drinking drinks that make you seem gay.

I will drink anything you put in front of me especially if you're a pretty girl okay.

For the benefit of those in the thread, I'm getting some wisdom teeth cut out of my head this winter, and I don't yet know when that will be happening. I'd rather not attend a party dosed to the gills on oxycontin and bleeding from my mouth, but then again, if I do come like that then maybe I can be the lead vocalist for the band.

Only for a song, kid.

So yeah, I think I got "AULD LANG SYNE MOTHERFUCKERS" worked out. I will need lots of fuzz! And another guitarist -- Apol, just learn how to play Auld Lang Syne in power chords and you should be okay. Not note for note, of course. Just backup. I'll be lead. Toups! How loose does your snare get?! Can we translate its sound into that of a cooperative waterfall?

This sounds like a great party. It's too bad Seattle's probably the farthest place in the continental US from Louisville. We should have a west coast meetup sometime (there was a mini seattle meet at one point which I ditched - I feel kinda guilty now).
