yes. It would work very well with a randomly generated subtitle, like TGQ's random banners.

Rud13, in all seriousness, I think becausevideogames.com is a good name, but I don't think it's the best possible one. I think the best possible name is out there in a sea of possibility and we need to keep casting possibility nets!

Well, I would lock this thread at that point, so it would only be one active thread. Also, we're putting up with some tom foolery for a little while because of this.

insert credit internet, serious business.

Rud13, I will join the new forums as long as there are no elaborate stifling excessive patronizing draconian rules about posting and/or as long as icyclam is not involved in administration.

If that's not too in-jokey, that is.

I think a lot of these are good suggestions but there is a better one that no one's thought of yet. Let's keep throwing some real suggestions out until we find one that sticks. And yeah, if possible something that's not an overt injoke.

guys, i never liked the gamer's quarter forums much because i always wished that they would be more like insert credit

so like a long time ago i basically emailed brandon and told him icyclam was a great guy and would make a fine admin

yes

i orchestrated this all

i set it all in motion

the end goal was the destruction of the gamer's quarter forum culture as we know it and its replacement with insert credit's, in my opinion, vastly superior atmosphere

i mean i really like the insert credit forums and it always bothered me that the forums of the web site i actually write for didn't really resemble them

so i'm glad i was able to change this

i think my idea of what a web community should be like is like, you know, pretty important

you know what i mean

i am definitely not above a little social engineering

to make that happen

you know what i mean?

If we did closed registration we could just go ahead and name it threadfighter.net

also, can we all get "refugee" under our forum names?

That would cause a perminent split in the community as well as way more eliteist attitudes than are needed. I've seen this happen as well. It's just not a good idea.

I like Arcade Console a lot actually. (having something arcadey in the title is nice, especially if the dingy black color scheme is staying)
