I don't think you can really say that anyone owned the community in alcatraz or on slave plantations! That would be kind of silly... in the same way that saying you can own the IC forum community would be kind of silly.

If you can shoot me a copy that'd be great. My email should be in my profile.

Howdy folks.

One hard drive crash and look what I miss! Looks like it's a complicated situation.

I feel like I should be posting here more since I'm aspiring to make a contribution to TGQ in the (near) future. Also, Shaper, I am sorry to miss another deadline; I did not realize the true, terrible power of school to destroy my free time.

Anyway, I'm having a hell of a time getting caught up here.

I tried explaining this to someone who has no point of reference to Insert Credit whatsoever. She didn't really understand at all. It was sort of funny watching her mind tick over, and come to a conclusion that seemed to be less "I understand, continue" and more I wonder if I'm having fish for dinner?" Even the whole kiddy porn thing didn't bother her, so I'm starting to suspect she is, infact, stupid.

On a closely related note, what did Captain EO and Aderack get into it about? I missed that little conflict completely.

EO made a post in the hobbit thread about not caring what Peter Jackson did with Lord of the Rings and not caring if he had anything to do with the Hobbit either. Aderack said something to the effect of "Since you're not contributing to this thread I'm going to delete your posts." and then did so.

Yeah I don't normally contribute much to those threads either. In that case it's best to just nod you head and move along.

Then there's the Recap situation - the guy's attitude was as culperable for his beatdown as anyone who was calling him a moron. Brandon seemed to ignore that the guy was acting like a condescending, fanboyish tool and ignoring the informed opinions of people who actually work with code. Can the language barrier explain that? I don't think it can, since he seemed to have a grasp of what the concepts at hand were. If IC staffers are going to act in antisocial ways, they're going to deserve getting it in the neck as badly as anyone else.

That was what pissed me of the most. I don't think it's a language problem, as english is only my third language, Recap seems to be better at it than me, and still I understood perfectly what was said there.

DAIS, I appreciate your forum ideas. I don't understand, though, why Brandon would want a forum sort of limited by the site content, if that's what he wants. The frontpage is just news and, while other articles/reviews have more interesting subjects, they're not especially abundant.

That said, I'm sure that the site content can be a larger part of the forums - but it won't have as much activity as Real Bout had, unless Brandon is open to the kind of comment that infests kotaku or something.

Hm, well, I'm going to try to make that. There is a 95% chance that I will fail, but I will still make an attempt. Most of my December will consist of not studying for finals, so that gives me time to focus my mind on the matter at hand.

Well, wherever the Forum Axe goes, I shall follow. Though I'll be interested in seeing/posting on the new IC if it ever happens.

glitch, I'm sorry if you were somehow slighted by the whole "coming on to you" thing. It wasn't really what I was trying to do, you see. I had noticed a tendency in myself to stay away from forum females to avoid the whole oh god girl on the internet issue that plagues most females on male-dominated sites, and I thought it was rather silly of me to do something like that.

Anyway, you seem to be a rather intelligent woman of good taste. It seems as if you speak at least 3 languages, which is something that I have a real respect for. Especially one as different from our western tounges as japanese. I hope you decide to stick around here, or maybe on the new IC boards if that's where most of us are going to head off to.

My games have been good I've been playing FFXII and bejewelled 2, and Mario Kart and Dragon Quest Slime whatever for DS.

Good times!

Hi legalstep and vinculumgate, I thought we lost you there for a while. I hope that you have a good time at this place or other places that the IC herd migrates to.

Legalstep if you have a 360 you, me and dalenixon could have a good time with some gear of wars i think

Vinculumgate did you ever do anything about that homemade projector that I showed you? Because if not I've found something that seems more than a bit nicer, if a bit pricier. It's 479 dollars or something like that, and it's called a lumenlabs eVo I think. It seems incredibly nice for that price, but maybe there's a HD version coming out soonish, so I think I'll wait a while before I decide on what to spend my cash moneys.

I concur. I would love to play gears with you and dale, but I don't have LIVE and or DSL happening at my home. Still I will migrate to any forum where I can still post with my favorite former insert crediters.

Re: Temp Forum

I have a phpBB set up in my corner of the internet that isn't doing much of anything. I have pretty awesome bandwidth (unlimited) and hosting that has gone down once in the past two years or so.

I'd be willing to accept anyone, and moderate very loosely. If there is interest, please let me know.

Do we strictly need a temp forum? Everyone's grills seem pretty chilled over hear and nobody's starting shit - I worry if Insert Credit comes back so will the tiresome old shit wars. It's kinda chilled over here. The forum theme is also growing on me.

Hey Rudie, I'm up in this piece, dogg. Do i have any sort of profile, high or low?

And yes, James, Devo does rock the house by turning it into a cave (thus devolving it, you see...ahhh...).

dmauro, I will be on gears tonight, provided I can tear myself away from the new world of Thomas Pynchon (thank you amazon for your sort of timely delivery).

I would be down for a new forums if that ends up happening, but I am also kind of liking it around here as well, so yeah, I will be on here.
