Can't you cut down all the trees in someone else's village?

Yea, it is because I was gone so long. Some of my fruit even fell off the tree's after being ripe for too long.

Tonight I should theoretically be able to start playing with everyone. The wi-fi connector is on its way to my house right now. Woo hoo!

That was the other thing I was going to say about it all. My dongle does not really like some internet connections and I can't seem to get online anymore. . .

sadness.

I'll get this as soon as I get back to school. I don't know about wi-fi adapters, though. Maybe the school's network will service me, maybe I'll have to do a mad store hunt.

Your town will also become covered with weeds and the townspeople will talk about how you haven't been around and how this makes them sad.

I will register you in my town very shortly, but I probably won't play with you until I can get that No IP found error worked out. Regardless, thanks for posting, and be sure to introduce yourself, even though I think a lot of people already know you...

"If you put anything else down, your floor will give out!"

you mean i paid 120,000 bells for the ability to put three more objects in my room? i'm going to mail nintendo a photo of my lower floor in the gamecube game with the caption "FUCK YOU".

my room was so cute. now it's just a ring of furniture along the walls with a huge empty space in the middle. this is terrible.

You'll get more room. I've got a second floor and a room off to the side.

Guys, bad news. After I walked out of my house this evening, I found Space Invaders had invaded Drugtown.

Swimmy, if you keep it up with the space invaders stuff you're going to be seriously in danger of me liking you too much.

I tried to get online using the wi-fi in one of the campus's buildings, but it didn't work. I'll get me an adapter soon, though, and partying will commence.

Ah-heh-hem!

3178-9547-8212

Visit Swimmy in Drugtown! I've got loads of oranges, and a few apple, cherry, and palm trees scattered about.

I've added everyone in this thread. Properly, I hope.

We were going to do a segment on the video podcast I'm a part of in which we raid a local ACE Hardware store (in G4 shirts, possibly Twisted Evil), price shovels and axes and watering cans and such, and then compare the prices in the real world to the prices in AC, thus giving us a dollars to bells conversion rate.

We haven't done a new episode in a few weeks though, so I doubt we ever get around to doing this.

At one point, we were also going to have a friend of ours appear on the show to talk about his town. He has no grass, only rainbow tile.

You know, it's not just that I can play this game while pooping - it's that I can play it online while pooping.

Which I suppose is possible with any online game, actually, but I mean in a proper facility.

Nookington's is beautiful. Thanks, mechanori. Now I just need to pay off these loans and amass wealth. I want to be a miser just like in the real world.

Party

Noobtown is throwing open its gates for an all-day party this Sunday*, to celebrate the fact I've just about finished setting everything in order again after my mysterious two-month absence. Everyone is invited. My friends code (if you don't already have it) is 1375-0052-3630, and if I haven't added you to my list just PM me your code and I'll add you. Unless I hate you.

I'm going round other places and inviting loads of other people. Hopefully, it'll end up as some kind of crazy social mash-up and everyone will make some new friends. Although this is unlikely.

Also: wear fancy dress!

*That's "all-day" if you're in the UK... for the US, it'd probably be more like 2am-6pm, or something

For the benefit of those who weren't there:

I think I might start making more of these, for different games. And inviting people round for exhibitions and things.

Woah.

Totally doing one for a Metroid scene. I already have a pretty little metroid sprite.

i finally got my second floor, after weeks of harvesting oranges, cherries and peaches. i was becoming weary of the game. my second floor has renewed my interest in the game, though!

first of all, my second floor is awesome. i ought to open my gate sometime and let people swing by and check it out. secondly, now that i've moved so much of my furniture upstairs, i can actually put stuff down on my lower floor! and that means i can also put stuff in my drawers again! so my first floor is finally decent-looking again, and i don't have to carry around an obscene amount of stuff or resort to using the present trick.

that last week was terrible. i didn't talk to anyone (except mabel and sable) and just gathered things to sell, sold them, and went to bed. i barely participated in the gardening-a-thon, and normally i'd be all over that! well, things are looking good now. i can go back to not caring about money anymore.

playing this game as a "gamer" totally kills all the joy it has for me.

I won the flower fest! I've got a big gold trophy with a flower on the top. Hurrah!

I'm still 80,000 bells short of getting a second floor, though. I'm in the middle of a major patch of civic redevelopment, which probably won't be finished for another two weeks or so, at this rate.

So yeah. Noobtown's a construction site at the minute. Open your gates sometime!
