For some reason it reminded me of the hospital scenes in It Came from the Desert.

I recognize the second two as certain adventure games, because I've seen their websites, but I couldn't name or describe them so there you go.

"Space Invaders the Pinball" seems weird no matter how you look at it.

It's ArmJoe, the Les Miserables 2D fighter, right (obviously, that's the name of the image)? Dammit, I wish I could get it to work on my work PC!

Valjean vs. Robojean, baby.

There's nothing quite like making Jean Valjean beat the living piss out of Cosette and cackling with glee. There's nothing quite like that at all.

Am I the only one who finds it fascinating that Mister Toups would be equally convincing dressed as either Jean Valjean or Johnny Turbo? Because, damn.

I have been collecting interesting photos and images for a while now. I have been meaning to make a lot of these now. Unfortunatly in my photoshopping I destroyed one of the originals by saving over the original with one of these, not I am upset. I am happy with a lot of these though.

I wish I could take credit for the screenshot, but I just cropped it.

I found the box for this game recently! I'm not sure where the disc is though.

I am listening to Philippe Vachey's beautiful soundtrack to the LBA games right now. It is a goddamn shame, what most of the Adeline / No Cliche folks are reduced to doing, these days.

More banners of the French, I say!

According to this recent interview, most of the crew are rocking out over at Little Worlds Studio, creating such mind-blowing interactive DVD titles as "Driving Theory Test" and "Trivial Pursuit - Let Loose".

Frederick Raynal is still unwilling to let the dream die -- he appears to have recently started his second or third company since No Cliche, without ever having produced a product.

Wow, that is actually tragic.

I have the feeling this happened with a lot of the small developer teams I really respect.

Not at all. There is actually a whole series of those images. I still have a few of them. Anyways, you can see my favorite one which I used on my 1up blog (which is probably the worst blogging service known to mankind. That's why I don't use it anymore.)

The image in your blog doesn't do as much as this one. It's like having one of my more sacred subconscious fantasies projected from my brain into reality, like some twisted camera obscura. It's like seeing into the future that I've always dreamed off. You can't possibly imagine how profound seeing this image was.

The image in your blog, though, the expression on their faces, it's too familiar. And the guy, too. I don't need help feeling pathetic and I can get by without girls laughing at me about playing games. I feel grim enough as it is.

I'll email you the rest of the set that I have after I get home. Unfortunatly I think that that one was the one I cropped and wrote over the original.

Thanks, Shaper.

I remember reading the Underdogs review of it...how is it? I'd like to hear more, just because it sounds so bizarre.

It always played awkwardly, and the enemies will almost uniformily clobber you, but it's worth it for the sights and sounds and overall nonsense (a fighting table, a hysterical witch). It's basically an outdoors Alone in the Dark with lots of paganism and sex thrown into the mix.

Also, you wouldn't believe killing the Minotaur was at all possible, but you can. I think just about all the environments are open and it becomes a matter of solving puzzles and unlocking events in circular, free-roaming ways. So it's difficult but feels deep.

I do sometimes wonder if it would be helpful to have a list somewhere with the names of all of the banner games.

I once held a contest right after the forum opened with a "guess the banner get NOTHING!" kind of deal. I was hoping that all the different ones may spur discussion.

There's so many now ... a few make me wonder every time, but I always forget to ask about them.

I was considering submitting more forgeries as well, just for kicks.

This is from the SMB hack "Air"!!

It is an amazing piece of work.

The guy who made it had a really in deppth knowledge of SMB's engine, particularly with the glitches. He basically hacked SMB to create a nigh-impossible version with tons of daed ends and traps, usually with only one right path! The only thing he changed was allowing the player to leap in mid air, effectively flying.

That banner was from the neat poem on the title screen. You can see the game beaten if you grab the torrent from the nesvideos site.
