Breath of Fire 4
Strikers 1945
r-types
Those items have caught my interest.
I'm willing to trade you
Dreams with Sharp Teeth by Harlan Ellison, a collection of Ellison's finest short-stories, signed. As well as a first edition of Shatterday.
As well as five signed copies of books by middle-range Science Fiction writers.
I'll even throw in a one-volume collection of all the Hitchhiker's novels.
As well as few other books that you'd certainly like. |

Ellison really isn't sf, he's more like a tendentious half-sf half-mainstream writer that everyone seems to adore yet has never read. He's pretty good at times, I just read the introduction to Dreams and can note happily that it's still pretty damn funny.
His writing style sounds akin to the one that Deus Jester adopts on the IC forums. Only with more finesse, charm, skill, and jewishness. |

yeah.
so here's what i'm trying to get rid of:
playstation 2
ico
metal gear solid 2
escape from monkey island
unlimited saga
gamecube
metroid prime
wind waker
i have some genesis games, too, which were previously promised to wes but once i got the opportunity to test them, it turns out they don't entirely work. sonic the hedgehog and revenge of shinobi don't work at all. jurassic park and mortal kombat work with a bit of effort, and alex kidd in the enchanted castle works pretty decently.
i'm interested in japanese saturn discs and pc engine hucards, mostly. also other things; y'all know what sort of games i like. also, shenmue 2. _________________

I still want this stuff:
jurassic park
mortal kombat
alex kidd in the enchanted castle
And I want this too:
escape from monkey island
Umm, I don't know what I've got to give. I'll have to check when I get home.

dhex, I'm interested in R-Type Final and Final Fantasy IX, but I don't think I own a lot of dhexy games, books, or music.
Tryng to get rid of:
Gamecube
Star Wars Rogue Leader
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Soul Calibur 2
Dreamcast
Sonic Adventure
Ikaruga (Japanese)
Playstation 2
Mad Maestro
Dynasty Warriors 4
Kingdom Hearts
Playstation
Front Mission 3
Final Fantasy 8
Valkyrie Profile (it should be noted that the booklet -- and the front insert, if that's a separate thing -- is missing)
GBA
Astro Boy (Japanese)
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance |

Give me a feel for what you want. I mean, unless you would settle for 2 or 3 obscure japanese Saturn roleplaying games.
I don't really have a whole lot here and finding something would not be easy. Unless you want Fantavision PS2, I think i have that laying around in this house still. I need to know quick before everything gets shipped to St. Louis. |

Shaper, I'm curious about the unnamed Saturn games. Are they any good (and what are they)? I haven't liked the Saturn RPGs I've played (Shining Force III because of how slow it felt, and Dragon Force because I'd just rather replay Ogre Battle ... and both because of that weird generic J-RPG art design), and I'm not the sort to collect obscure games just because.
Fantavision seems worth a shot, if the Saturn games are offensively mediocre.
dark steve, if we overlook the manual and front insert, the game's in good health. The back insert is there, and both discs work without any problem. The jewel case, which is a generic double-thick jewel case, has a couple of EB stickers on it. |

I think we are going to have to settle for Fantavision. They were all offensively mediocre. As a bonus I will throw in a MYSTERY game!

I don't have much to trade at the moment, but let's see...
Dreamcast
Sonic Adventure
Dead or Alive 2
Soul Calibur — very slightly scratched disc, but it works fine.
SNES
Cybernator — an excellent Konami action game, but I have an extra copy. The cartridge itself is in very good condition, but I have no box for it. I do have a manual, however, although it is in pretty poor shape.
Books
High Fidelity by Nick Hornby
Speaking With the Angel by Nick Hornby
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky — it was given to me, OK?!
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk
An older translation of The Brothers Karamazov
Games I'm Looking For
P.N. 03
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Boktai
Dragon Warrior VII
Legend of Mana
Silent Hill
Tomba!
Wild ARMs

seryogin: If not the GitS manga, are you interested in any William Gibson? I have extra copies of Neuromancer, Count Zero, Mona Lisa Overdrive, Idoru, and All Tomorrow's Parties on my shelves. Actually, I have an extra Pattern Recognition, too.
How about Ray Bradbury? I wouldn't mind parting with Golden Apples of the Sun. Actually, you might not want it — it's an pretty worn out paperback. The cover is falling off.
I'm digging through my things... I want that DWVII. _________________ antitype.livejournal.com | last.fm |

I am interested in William Gibson. I told this magazine's own Mr. Mechanical that I'd give him another shot after I'd dismissed him as a pompous ass a few months ago.
And, yes, the GiTS manga is something that I'd like as well.
Hell, throw in another paperback or manga and you've got a deal. Maybe an anime you don't need?
The DQVII is in perfect condition. I found it two years ago, sealed, in an abandoned game store on the outskirts of New York. I opened it, played it for an hour and then realized that I was never going to finish this game. So it's just been lying in my drawer for the past two years.
And no Bradbury doesn't interest me in the slightest for the simple reason that I have multiple copies of every single book he's ever written. When I was seventeen I became enamored with the man after reading Zen in the Art of Writing, so much so that I eventually wrote him a letter, and he actually responded. Though I don't much like him anymore. _________________

Aside from my Miyazaki DVDs and a few OAVs in DivX format, I don't have much anime to speak of, and certainly none I'd care to get rid of.
Hm... So you'd like all of those Gibson books and the GitS for the DWVII? I don't have much else to offer, I'm afraid. Maybe this first volume of Transmetropolitan. _________________ antitype.livejournal.com | last.fm |

The Japanese version comes on two discs. The first is the normal arcade game that the US version ended up as and the other is the same thing but rebalanced with crazy create your own character board game madeness attached. So yeah. The Japanese version is the one I want to hold on to. I have to go home and find both of them before I take the trade plunge for sure, but I should be able to get back to you shortly.

Give him another shot. Gibson happens to be my favorite author of all ever, an opinion I could expound upon in the reading thread if needed. Should you have the chance, start with Neuromancer or Virtual Light. His most recent, Pattern Recognition could possibly be the most accessable of his works, but as it is the only one set in the present day (as opposed to a futuristic dystopian world), it may be an odd choice to start with considering it's the exception to his thematic rule.
And first DoDonPachi, now the GiTS manga - I'm just missing out left and right! Curses!
Alright, so I have a few things I'm looking to get rid of as well, nothing too fancy, but hopefully someone will take a liking to some of it:
24 Horas De Le Mans (PAL Dreamcast); good condition
NES games: 10 Yard Fight, Gyromite, Star Wars, Tetris. They're really not worth it to even try and sell on eBay, so if anyone wants one or all of them, I'll trade for a similarly low-value item. Yes, they have been checked for Famicom adaptor boards.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 (US Dreamcast) Purchased at the local 'no returns' ripoff game shop, the disc has a scratch through the top foil rendering it unplayable and beyond repair. However, the manual and back insert are perfect, so if there's someone out there who for some reason just has the game disc and wanted the whole manual...
Full Throttle (Mac CD-ROM) Along with SFA3, I got this at the game shop, and was overjoyed - until I returned home and opened the case to discover it was a Mac CD. Some light scratches on the disc, good condition otherwise.
Manga: Excel Saga vols. 1 & 2, Initial D vol. 1, Cowboy Bebop Files 1 & 2, Katsuhiro Otomo's Domu Oddly enough, I never purchased a one of these, having them instead donated to me by bored or moving aquaintences. Conditions run to near-new (Excel Sagas) to slightly worn on the spine (Initial D) to a cover with a slight dog-eared crease (Domu)
Coheed And Cambria: The Second Stage Turbine Blade (Audio CD) Original release
Don't suppose anyone's trying to unload a copy of Tokimeki Memorial on SFC (preferred) or Saturn? |

I'm interested in Domu, what would you need?
And, yeah, once I try reading Gibson again, I'll post my comments. The only thing I've ever liked by him before is Burning Chrome, specifically "The Gernsback Continuim." _________________

I'm home. I totally forgot this, but the US version also has two discs. There was something significant taken out of the Evolution disc though. At any rate, you can have it. Be warned that it normally came in a two disc case, but I was feeling fancy one day and lowered it down to a single two-disc case. So yeah, it might not be worth as much as a collector's item, but you'll get both discs, the instructions, and a case. Let's trade it up!
